College Football Week 2 Preview and Predictions

Image
Week 1 featured some upsets and some chalk, but not many marquee matchups. However, week 2 has a couple of big-time early season matchups. Jimbo vs, Dabo, Texas Vs. LSU, and an old Big 12 rivalry with Nebraska and Colorado. Also, can Tennessee and Florida State rebound after embarrassing and mind-boggling losses? Games to Watch:  #6 LSU @ #9  Texas LSU visits the Longhorns for a Top 10 showdown. LSU and Texas both bring in experienced QBs in Sam Ehlinger and Joe Burrow. Both offenses have a bevy of weapons to work with. For Texas, Senior WRs Colin Johnson, and Devin Duvernay will be matched up against a very tough LSU Secondary. They also have a pretty talented RB in Keontay Ingram that will help Ehlinger in the Texas ground game. On LSU's side, Burrow will be helped by WRs Ja'marr Chase, Justin Jefferson, and TE Thaddeus Moss, Yes he's the son of  HOF WR Randy Moss. On the Ground, LSU will have Lanard Fournette and Clyde Edwards- Helaire. This game will ulti...

College Football 2019 Season Preview and Predictions

Image
As the new college football season is quickly approaching, I'll be previewing the upcoming season with some predictions as well. Will Clemson repeat as National Champs? Will the Pac 12 have a resurgence to the national scene? or Who will be the dark horse to rise to the National scene? 2019 Power 5 and Group of 5 Conference Champions SEC:    Alabama Crimson Tide The Alabama Crimson Tide returns to 2019 with a bad taste in their mouths. The Crimson Tide were embarrassed on the biggest stage against Clemson, losing 44-16 to the tigers. I expect a resilient team this year. Bring back QB Tua Tagovailoa, and the best WR Trio in the nation tied with Clemson. Jerry Jeudy is arguably the best player in college football, and another branch on the Bama WR tree, He's dynamic in every way. He and Tua will carry Bama to another SEC title, but I do believe this will be one of the most difficult SEC seasons for Bama in a long time. Intense battles with Auburn and LSU will...

College Football Week 1 Takeaways

Image
Week 1 CFB Takeaways College Football is finally back and Week 1 was a good one, but also a let down. Majority of the top marquee games were dominated by one side. Harbaugh and Michigan were thoroughly outplayed by Notre Dame, and left UM alum Braylon Edwards in meltdown mode. Miami’s #8 ranking went up in question after a terrible showing in Jerry World. Tua and Co. dominated Louisville, and Taggart had an abysmal showing in his Doak debut.  Now here is my top 4 takeaways from week 1. Lethal Simplicity An offensive term coined by Florida State Head Coach Willie Taggart to describe his offensive system was the downfall for him and a couple of big time head coaches. Miami, and Michigan fell into lethal simplicity as well. A vanilla offense with a lack of creativity was the downfall for Harbaugh, Richt, and Taggart. Going against some of the nations better Defensive Coordinators the simple offenses were  just too easy for the aggressive defenses to defend....

Sports Reform: Top 4 Ways Sports Should Change.

As a sports fan I always look at sports ,and I wonder what things can be changed or be improved in the sports world. Below I will express what I think are some of the changes that should happen in the sports world. No More Transfer Restrictions for Student-Athletes           Transferring in athletics has been a topic of discussion in the NCAA. Most athletes transfer for sports reasons others for personal reason. Limiting athletes to certain schools is what most people would say is an unethical and unfair. The reason why people consider this unfair is because of the free reign coaches have to pick up their things and leave and go to another school without penalty. The reason that there should be change to do is because student-athletes make mistakes as they are picking colleges they want to attend coming out of high school. You can’t put your trust in 17-18 year olds to make the right choice at  this a...
